54º ~ bright sun, clear skies, the nearly full moon woke me up at 2:00 a.m….where’s the justice in that happening 24 hours too late to see the eclipse?
Three quotes have been haunting me these last few days.

Whoa! I have run into the same 3 recently….though I can't remember where I ran into the can't-avert-the-eyes one. It did make me internally close them and bow my head, though.
Kathleen, Robert Olen Butler quoted Kurosawa last night on NPR, which is where I heard it. I, too, bowed my head to the power of that quote.
The other two have been floating around on multiple blogs as people reflect on the year behind and the one ahead.
